Prep 1 had a fantastic visit to Delamere Forest this week.
Children learnt about all the amazing trees within the forest and what they need to grow. We found about the important work that the forestry commission do so successfully to protect the wildlife and the environment. Children really enjoyed participating in the scientific based activities that link to topics of Seasons, Growth and Senses. BY using the natural resources in the setting pupils could create and label their own trees. After lunch the children were involved in more exciting tasks where they could focus on their senses, using blindfolds and mirrors in a stunning woodland setting. Pupils had the most fun working and playing together using their imaginative and creative skills to build dens and explore the mud kitchen with organic resources.
