Lady Milena Grendel Baines MBE visited the College to speak to the Upper Fourth. The Maher Library was packed with students and staff, all of whom sat awestruck as Lady Milena told her story of her experiences as a child refugee aboard the Kindertransport.

She was one of the 669 Jewish children rescued by Sir Nicolas Winton in 1939 and her message calls us to never be a bystander and to assure us that life can go on.
