Last Saturday a West Side Story reunion, the brainchild of Mrs Alderson came together in one exhausting afternoon and evening. Under the musical direction of Mrs Meehan and Bedian Tom Chinnery a choir of thirty five pupils, former pupils and staff performed a minor miracle in rehearsing and performing a number of songs with solos, duets and ensembles.
It was marvelous to see Claire O’Brien, Maria from 1993 sing so powerfully with Freya, Maria from this year’s production. Luke Leahy and James Carroll from the 2006 show sang brilliantly alongside Tom and Paul from 2019, as did Lizzie Glithero-West (1993) with Olive from this year.
