On the evening of Thursday 2 April St Bede’s College was floodlit with blue lights as the College shows its support for the NHS and all those who work in hospitals, GP surgeries, clinics and care homes. The NHS and its incredible professionals are at the heart of British life just now.

The beautiful Italianate style building has a history of changing colours to both celebrate and commemorate events. In March of this year it turned green to celebrate St Patrick’s Day and the Young Gifted and Green Concert which raised over £30,000 for The Christie Hospital. In November 2015 the College was bathed in the school colours of gold and blue to celebrate its 140th Anniversary.
