The whole Prep School united in a fun-filled European day of Languages. The children and staff looked fabulous in their colours and costumes from around Europe. Everyone enjoyed a variety of activities throughout the day, celebrating many aspects of European culture as well as learning a few new foreign language words. The children enjoyed a session of different European dances in the Sports’ Hall, they tackled European map challenges and were visited by sixth form students for a French lesson. The children made German ginger bread biscuits in the college kitchen, experienced Italian operatic singing and classical French harp music and a Turkish Piano piece in the chapel. There were European quizzes, French pastries and a variety of food from the Mediterranean at lunch time. It was such fun to celebrate the diverse cultures in the Prep and come together under one Bedian European Union. We can’t wait to do it all again next year. A la prochaine!
